Web Server Migration

Most of our websites have migrated to a new and improved web hosting platform. The new platform provides more space, bandwidth, security and stability. The new version of our control panel will give you access to additional tools and services and make it easier than ever to manage your Web hosting account.

  • Online access to support tickets
  • More comprehensive domain management tools.
  • More powerful spam and virus protection.

While the migration has been virtually seamless, there are a few thing you may need to do once the migration has completed.

Email Settings

Webmail
If you use the webmail, you will just login to the webmail server. Just click on the "webmail" link at the top right hand of this website to access your webmail. You will no longer be able to use the link http://www.yourdomainname.com/webmail (where yourdomain.com is your actual domain name)

Email Clients (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Gmail, etc...)
If you use an email client you will need to reset your mail server settings to pop.accountsupport.com for incoming mail, smtp.accountsupport.com for outgoing mail, and your "Outgoing Mail Requires Authentication" (checkmark the box). Authentication means the client will need to login to the server to send the mail so the login will be the same as you incoming server (checkmark the box).  One final change is that the Outgoing mail server will need to be changed from port 25 to port 587. The port setting is usually located in an advanced settings area.  You can find detailed information about setting up your particular email client by logging into your control panel and utilizing the "Help" feature. (search for "Email Client Setup")

vDeck Control Panel

To login to the new control panel, please click on the "Control Panel" link located at the top right of this website. You will no longer use the link www.yourdomainname.com/vdeck. Once logged in you will find a new fresh layout with many new features. A few highlights are:

  • Comprehensive Help & Support.
  • Feature Finder which compares the old panel with the new, to help you locate in the new panel items you were accustomed to in the old panel.
  • Ability to add multiple domain names with email capability to your account.
  • Many more, as you will see once logged in.

While there were no real pressing issues with the previous webservers, we know you will enjoy the generous diskspace and bandwidth, variety of features, security and reliability provided by the new platform. If of course you have any questions and concerns at any time, please always feel free to contact us.

FTP Access

To access your site using ftp simply change your exiting ftp setting from ftp.yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is your actual domain name) to ftp.accountsupport.com. The login information should be the same. For more information on setting up your ftp client please login to your control panel.

Domain Name and Nameservers

Domain names registered through Idevweb LLC If your domain name is registered through Idevweb, sit back and relax as we manage your domain name information so setting your nameserver (the webserver that your domain name points to) is done by us.

Domain Names managed by other registration providers
If you domain name is managed by another domain name registration provider you will need to reset your domain name to point to the new web server platform. To do this you will either login to your registration providers domain name manager and find the area where you can reset your Nameservers, or contact your domain name registration provider and have the domain name reset to the new server.  

The new nameservers are ns1.accountsupport.com and ns2.accountsupport.com.
